Rezension und Fazit:
Ich hab mich dazu entschieden, die Reihe in Englisch zu lesen. Ich muss gestehen, die Entscheidung war vollkommen ok. Der Schreibstil von Leigh Bardugo ist in einem eher leicht verständlichen Englisch und somit gibt es beim Lesen nur wenige Wörter, die man eventuell nachsehen muss.
Als Fantasy Highlight würde ich es jetzt einmal nicht bezeichnen, da die Geschichte doch sehr „normal“ ist. Die Aha-Momente und Wo-Effekte für ein Highlight gab es nicht.
Die Handlung ist gut, die Charaktere gut herausgearbeitet. Das Buch ist spannend und man kann es auf alle Fälle an einem Abend lesen. So langatmige Stellen gibt es nicht, da es immer actionreich ist.
Ich werde mir mal die netflix Serie zu Gemüte führen, eventuell bekommt die Geschichte noch einen Tocuh in Richtung Highlight.
