Rezension und Fazit:
Ich gebe es zu – ich habe mir von diesem Buch etwas mehr erwartet. Ich habe es auch absichtlich auf Englisch besorgt, da ich mir dachte, die Geschichte kommt in dieser Sprache besser an.
Was mich zur Handlung selbst bringt: die wenigen Kapitel sind sehr autobiographisch. Man bekommt einen wunderbaren Einblick in das Leben von Michelle Obama. Über ihre Ausbildung, ihre Familie, das Kennenlernen von Barack und das Liebesleben. Ich habe hier so einiges über die ehemalige First Lady gelernt. Habe ich sehr spannend gefunden.
Die weitere Geschichte hat mich dann doch ein wenig gelangweilt, sodass ich das Buch bei Seite 450 abgebrochen habe. Zu viel der Schönrederei und des von sich selbst schwärmen, dass ich das Buch dann als unangenehm empfunden habe und mir der Inhalt dann zu „blöd“ wurde.
Ich konnte dann einfach nicht weiterlesen und habe lediglich die letzten Seiten aufgeschlagen – ein Sammelsurium an Fragen, ob man das Buch auch wirklich aufmerksam gelesen hat und ob man sinnerfassend und zwischen den Zeilen lesen kann.
Ich kann dieses Buch leider nicht empfehlen.
